A druid had diagnosed this after we had left the city-temple, so no breaking of the enchantments for the turtle. The gnome beseeches the paladins' deity at their temple-city, and one of the clerics agrees to break the enchantment. The party gets feebleminded except for the gnome magus and the dwarven barbarian, go figure. However, he didn't want to have to take a half-elf wizard with an octopus clinging to his face seriously, and he let me use a turtle with the tortoise's stats and the octopus's swim bonus. I had originally wanted the blue ringed octopus for the bonus to swim checks and my GM had this sickness that compelled him to make us get on the effing boat.

Imagine all the shenanigans that could ensue just because the thing found one of the dreaded inky black ioun stones while wandering through the lodge unchecked.
